The mm² size tells you how much copper is inside the cable.
If you cut the cable and looked at the end:
The copper area is measured in square millimetres (mm²)
Bigger mm² = more copper
More copper = the cable can carry more current (amps)
⚠️ Please note:
mm² is NOT the same as diameter.
The outside diameter of the cable is always larger because of the insulation.
All our cables are specified by mm² (copper size).
